Support for people representing themselves · Western Australia
Built by someone who has been exactly where you are.
If you are facing the legal system without a lawyer, LAWLESS Strategy helps you understand what is happening, get your own paperwork in order, and feel less alone doing it.
Plain language. No jargon.
LAWLESS Strategy is not a law firm and is not a substitute for a lawyer. Jessica Atkinson is not a lawyer, does not provide legal advice, does not draft legal documents, and does not represent anyone in any matter. LAWLESS Strategy offers general, practical and administrative support to people who are representing themselves. You remain responsible for your own matter and your own decisions.
How LAWLESS helps
LAWLESS Strategy operates from direct experience within the legal system and a commitment to making the process understandable and accessible. The support adapts to where you are and grows as your needs do.
Plain language help making sense of how things work and what tends to happen at each stage. General information to help you make your own informed decisions, never legal advice.
Practical help bringing order to your own material: sorting, organising, and structuring what you already have so it is clear, complete, and easy to work with. All the time consuming sorting is taken care of for you.
Hands on support making sense of your matter and putting your paperwork together. You hold the pen and you make the calls. The help is in the organisation.
Every matter moves, and new needs come up constantly. The support moves with it, so you are not starting from scratch each time something changes.
Built by someone who has been exactly where you are.
About
In 2025, Jessica Atkinson was charged with five criminal offences. No legal background. No law degree. No solicitor. A career in construction and mining administration.
So she dug in and built her own defence from scratch.
Every document the prosecution provided was read, then read again. Timestamps that did not line up. Documents that were missing. Statements that did not agree with one another. She kept pulling the thread.
In December 2025, Jessica submitted a 34 page skeleton argument that stopped the courtroom cold. The presiding magistrate adjourned the matter for a week, took the document home to read in full, and returned with two pages of handwritten notes responding to it point by point. A trial date was set.
ALL FIVE CHARGES WERE WITHDRAWN AT TRIAL
After the matter ended, the prosecution acknowledged the quality of the written work she had prepared and encouraged her to pursue a career in law.
Jessica Atkinson is not a lawyer. What she is, is someone who learned the process from the inside and refused to be left behind by it. That experience is the foundation of LAWLESS Strategy.
What LAWLESS Strategy offers, most cannot: the clarity to understand your own situation and the steps around it, from someone who has stood where you are standing. No legal advice. Just the kind of understanding that changes how you show up.
What to expect
A simple, ordered process. You remain in control of your own matter the whole way through.
You explain where things are at and what you are trying to work out. The aim is simply to understand the situation.
Everything you have is read carefully, then read again. Your timeline is mapped and the picture your information presents is laid out plainly.
Your material is sorted, organised, and put together clearly, so it is complete and easy for you to work with and to understand.
You keep your materials and a clear understanding of the steps ahead. You make the decisions in relation to your own matter. LAWLESS Strategy supports; it does not represent or advise.
Who it's for
You are running your own matter, either by choice or by circumstance, and you need help making sense of it all.
A pile of documents and none of it in order? Pages missing? Or no documents at all? Not a problem. That's what I am here to help you with. I will make sure it gets brought into a clear, usable shape you can actually work from.
The process feels like it was written in another language. You want it explained plainly, without being made to feel small.
A conference, a hearing, a deadline. You want to walk in with your material in order and a clear head.
LAWLESS Strategy is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. Support is general, practical, and administrative. You remain responsible for your own matter and your own decisions.
Pricing
Every matter is different, so pricing is worked out individually based on the help you need.
What it costs depends on what you actually need, from looking over a single document to support across a whole matter. You pay only for the work you ask for, and nothing you do not.
You receive a written quote before any work begins, and the agreed amount is set out in a service agreement. No surprises, and no fees added along the way.
An initial conversation to understand your situation is free. To get a quote, get in touch with a brief outline of what is going on.
